Where we came from, where we are
The Voice Lab originated in 2014 with owner, Liz, and a handful of students in a church basement. Our reputation quickly grew as an affirming, inclusive voice studio and within the first year we had 4 teachers in a thriving storefront location, serving students both in-person and online. The company was built on values of compassion, individual attention, innovation, and uninhibited creativity. We created this community with big dreams of a place where every voice is valid, beautiful, and necessary.
These values extend not just to our students and friends, but most importantly to our team. We strive to be an equitable, loving, challenging, and fun place to work. We honor and lean into each team member's strengths so that our community benefits from collaborative work. Our teachers are each experts in their own right, and we create opportunities to learn from each other.
This is why we built The Voice Lab, to provide personalized education for students, a joyful working environment for staff, leadership and training for fellow teachers, and a place where community members can be accepted as themselves.
